Surah An Nahl Ayat 60-61 Translation Tafseer

Para 14 - رُبَمَا

سورة النحل

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

16.60-61

لِلَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ مَثَلُ السَّوْءِۚ-وَ لِلّٰهِ الْمَثَلُ الْاَعْلٰىؕ-وَ هُوَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ۠ (60) وَ لَوْ یُؤَاخِذُ اللّٰهُ النَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِمْ مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَیْهَا مِنْ دَآبَّةٍ وَّ لٰـكِنْ یُّؤَخِّرُهُمْ اِلٰۤى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۚ-فَاِذَا جَآءَ اَجَلُهُمْ لَا یَسْتَاْخِرُوْنَ سَاعَةً وَّ لَا یَسْتَقْدِمُوْنَ(61)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

For those who do not believe in the Hereafter, there is a terrible state; and Allah’s Greatness is Most High. He is the Most-Exalted, the Most-Wise. Were Allah to seize the people due to their oppression, He would not leave a single walking creature upon the earth, however He grants them respite until a specified time;[1] so when their time shall come, they will neither defer it by a moment nor will they hasten it.

In preceding verses, Allah Almighty has mentioned the blasphemy and evil statements of the disbelievers of Makkah, and in this verse, He has stated that He will not send down punishment upon them quickly, rather, He grants them respite so that His Mercy and Grace is apparent.
